We’re Still Working, But We’re Getting Closer
So it goes without saying that the March opening didn't happen. Once the work actually started it was like peeling an onion: removing one layer exposed another, and another after that. The Steps Are Fixed, Now For The Inside
Even with the snow, the steps have now been leveled and an aged, rusting metal strap that supported the massive granite landing has been replaced. Our construction guy did a wonderful job with the brickwork underneath, so I'm feeling confident we picked the right folks to work on a historic building. Ok, we finally have a signed contract for the sale of a house, the profits from which are going towards Cowork Frederick. We've been working the numbers and doing lots of "what if" calculations to figure out how we can open ASAP and still provide a decent offering of both facilities and services. It's amazing how time slips by. The good news is we closed on the building in late February. The bad news is we have a lot of work to do before we can open.
