The Frederick Community Writing Workshop is an open-to-the-public event that takes place the last Tuesday of each month. In these meetings we welcome all creative writers from all walks of life, at any skill-level, to actively participate in fast-paced writing activities, to discuss specific elements of craft, to live-edit, and collaborate on creative work in a group setting. Writing activities span all genres, from fiction, nonfiction, poetry, to screenplays and stage plays.
March workshop topic:
Join the Community Writing Workshop for our March event, where David Zhou will be broaching the subject of ‘audience’ in writing. How much should one consider their audience when writing? How can a writer write more pointedly toward one audience over another? What is the value in ‘knowing your audience’? How does target age-range or even target mental-state of an audience affect one’s writing? Come consider these questions and more with us as we discover this exciting part of the process. This workshop is free and welcomes all writers, at any stage and at any level.
