Mission and/or values statements are only for big businesses, right? Wrong.

Mission defines where you’re going. Values define who you are. Many freelancers and micro-business owners haven’t written mission or values statements. We’ll talk about why both are important, even for the smallest businesses, and how to write and use them.

BRING YOUR LUNCH AND LEARN

ABOUT THE SPEAKER

Julia Ferguson has over 35 years of business experience, doing process and system design, leading teams, managing projects, and ultimately running a global consultancy for a Fortune 500 software company. Along the way, she launched several small businesses of her own. In 2012, she and her husband opened a coworking space in Frederick, MD.

Join us for another great time of learning and connection, all part of our Brain Boost Lunch & Learn series.

Brain Boost is a FREE monthly brown bag event designed to build expertise, catapult the success of small businesses, and ensure equitable access to a wealth of knowledge.

We begin with a 30- to 40-minute educational talk. Then, with the help of a facilitator, participants engage in active conversation for up to 30 minutes so people benefit not only from the knowledge and experience of the speaker but also from others in the room.

It’s a mash-up of an educational talk and a mastermind group, meant to spark inclusive conversation and circulate the abundant knowledge within Frederick’s small biz community.
